The people of Sri Sri are very appreciative of their food. Sharing meals with friends and family is very important to them. Local housewives use only fresh and healthful produce to make their own meals. Along with western meals, you can try home-cooked Sri Lankan cuisine.
The most basic meal consists of rice and vegetable curry or chicken curry cooked with coconut milk and spicy ingredients that make it stand out from the crowd. A more elaborate lunch can include an assortment of salads along with a wide variety of curry made with meat, fish, or vegetables. Their differences include taste and hue. It looks like a table set with many coloured bowls.

A quick and easy way to get to know the local foods is to sample them off the street. You can sample a lot of different kinds of food, including fried small fish, pancakes, and veggies that go by less-known names like roti, samosas, Hoppers, and a few others.

What is a Typical Sri-Lankan Breakfast ?
The most well-liked breakfast items in Sri Lanka are bread, hoppers (aapa), kiribath (milk rice), String Hoppers (idi aapa), and pitu.
Aapa can be served with yoghurt and palm syrup, or it can be served with curry or a fried egg on the bottom. Steamed rice flour noodles are called string hoppers. served with curry, sweet coconut filling, or sambol.Rice cooked in coconut milk and served in various ways is called kiribath. Moreover, pittu is a steamed cylindrical cast made of fresh coconut combined with rice flour.
